Dehat Sudhar Committee, Doda, Jammu called a meeting to take serious note of the merciless slaughtering of forests. The committee also accused Jammu and Kashmir Forest Development and Jammu and Kashmir State Forest Corporation of violating rules and regulations by feeling trees under the pretext of removing dry standing and fallen trees. Both the above departments were also accused of ignoring the recommendations of qualitative and quantitative norms committee.
