DTC plans to run its fleet on CNG

The Delhi Transport Corporation has plans to run its entire fleet on compressed natural gas. The Corporation has already floated tenders to make the existing buses CNG compatible, DTC chief general manager (mechanical) V K Bhatia said at Delhi on Saturday. Participating in a panel discussion on the "Need for safe, efficient and eco-friendly public transport" organised by the Association of the Victims of Uphaar Tragedy, Mr Bhatia said DTC was alive to its responsibility towards curbing pollution in the city.
