Delhi University is all set to train students to lend a helping hand in times of a disaster. Under the guidance of Director General, Home Guards, Kiran Bedi, DU is introducing a short course on disaster management awareness. "Delhi is in seismic zone-IV and an earthquake could lead to devastation of huge proportions. The Gujarat earthquake, tsunami and the recent bomb blasts have shown how ill- prepared we are in coping with such calamities," said Prof Shiren Rathore, Dean of Colleges.
