With an aim to provide healthcare facilities to rural areas, MediAngels, the country’s first e-super specialty medical consultation platform has mooted a proposal for having the facility connected to the National Rural Health Mission centres. The proposal will be taken up with the Punjab government. Under the proposal, NHRM centres in villages will be provided with an internet kiosk. Information about the patient’s ailment can be uploaded on the website of the e-hospital. A profile of the patient will be created, which will contain the medical history. Founding director of MediAngels, Dr Arbinder Singal said that doctors on their panel would examine the information uploaded about the patients and give treatment accordingly.”
