The Early Bird', an Organisation for nature care in North-east India extends its full support to the ongoing eviction drive from the forest land and wildlife areas of the State including Guwahati city. It referred to the Guwahati High Court's judgment often then Chief Justice Brijesh Kumar and Justice N C Jain's judgment and order entrusting the State Government with the job of maintenance of forest, for afforestation of trees more particularly in areas which have been denuded of trees and to take all necessary steps for clearance of forest lands, from the encroachers in accordance with the law.
