Scientists: Scientists in Britain say that the earth is at risk from a possible "volcanic winter". Britain's Geological Society says that here is reason to be concerned about the possibility of a 'supervolcano' erupting. It says that such an eruption could eject enough gas, dust and debris into atmosphere to block out sunlight and devastate the global climate causing severe food scarcity.
