An amount of Rs 60 crore has been allocated for Sarva Siksha Abhiyan in the district for 2005-06. The amount would be used to provide infrastructural facilities in the schools, according to Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) deputy executive engineer A Satyanarayana.He told reporters at Ambajipet that the SSA funds would be utilised in constructing additional class rooms in rural schools.He said that so far the SSA was being implemented for only for Classes up to VII. From now on, the SSA would be extended to other classes also.
