All roads in Uttaranchal seemingly lead to the picturesque Hemkund Sahib. But for Sikh community, the 20-km long arduous trek from Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib, one of their religious shrines, is becoming more and more tough, thanks to stringent forest laws that do not allow to fulfill their long-cherished demand of a road inside the world famous Valley of Flowers, known for its numerous exotic but rare varieties of herbs and wild flowers.Nonetheless, the shrill for building such road is increasing in the hill state much to the opposition of environmentalists.
