British artist Lyn Huso, has used organic tampons in her latest exhibition. She use recycled bikes, bags and phones to illustrate her view of the female menstrual cycle. "To demonstrate the ideas of rebirth, renewal and regeneration, I feel it is poignant that I use recycled and recovered materials," the artist said in an interview with edie. "The idea of the cycle of life ties in well with my ethos of environmental awareness." Huso's display, Right On, marks her transition from a fashion designer into the world of art - however her theme of environmental consciousness flows through both her mediums. In her days as a self described "eco fashion designer", Huso was given the task of creating a ball dress from reworked fabric in 40 minutes on live TV - something which she says was "one of the most terrifying experiences of her life".
