There can be a some reduction in the operational cost of oil refineries which in turn, can lead to a rollback in the prices of petroleum products.The hope stems from research conducted at the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) here.A group of scientists has effectively isolated a consortium of bacteria which eat up petroleum sludge, a toxic waste product.
