Infantry Battalion (TA) ecological, popularly known as the Eco Task Force(ETF) is currently working in the Aglar watershed area to the north of Mussoorie after having improved the weather pattern in Doona and Mussoorie through its tireless efforts to regreen this region. Aglar is devoid of vegetation and is in the rain shadow area. During 1997-98, the task force planted 3,40,000 saplings in Aglar against its target of 2,40,000 saplings.
