Eco-warriors chop down biotech trees

Although there is no scientific evidence that bio engineered trees would harm the environment, green groups fear genetically-modified trees could have the potential to devastate wildlife dependent on forestry. All across the globe, from the US to New Zealand, scientists are working to develop biotechnologies that could transform the face of the forest industry. In the US alone, the forest industry accounts for more than $20 billions in annual sales.
