The jungle fire that erupted in Dir forest in Junagadh was not yet controlled even after 24 hours of the incident. About 200 people were battling to bring the blaze under control. According to deputy conservator of forest D B Rajde, the fire had spread in the jungle due to gusty winds, as a result of which vast tracts of the forest were destroyed.
