While shortage of land is delaying the completion of its various housing projects, the DDA is losing several acres of its land to encroachers.According to sources in DDA, over 1,475 acres of DDA land has been grabbed by land encroachers across the city. Though the DDA claims it has created a land management wing to manage and protect its lands in the six zones, so far only 433.98 acres of land, which means less than one third of the encroached land, could be reclaimed by it.Clearly the DDA, in nexus with the encroachers, most of whom are land mafias, have been ignoring to this growing menace.
