The powerful eruption of energy in the universe, which has been devouring materials equivalent to 300 million suns, is astronomically a milestone event because it will throw light on early evolution of the universe dating back to 14 billion years, said Pranab Ghosh who heads Tata Institute of Fundamental Research's (TIFR) astronomy and astrophysics department.
