In spite of the good snowfall and rain this winter, most of the people living in the Kashmir valley continue to face the water scarcity. Areas like Zaina Kadal, Bohri Kadal, Pather Masjid, Chattabal and Batmaloo are facing the water shortage on regular basis. People living in these areas have to wait for hours altogether and sometimes they to wait for days altogether for a single drop of water. "There is no schedule for the water supply it can come at any time of the day. Sometimes it comes in the evenings and sometimes the night passes without the water supply" said Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Bhori Kadal. He added that there is no consistency on part of the Water Works Department regarding the schedule of the water supply.
