An official of the Fisheries Department said that following the environmental clearance, the Public Works Department (PWD) has prepared an estimate of Rs. 20.05 crore, for the implementation of the Centrally-sponsored project, based on the Puducherry Schedule of Rates. The estimate has been sent to the Union government, which has recommended the preparation of a Techno-Economic Feasibility Report (TEFR) by the Central Institute of Coastal Engineering for Fisheries before funds are released, the official said.
