A couple of Pakistani seafood exporters have obtained orders for the export of 100,000 kilograms of shrimps to European countries, officials said on Monday. Qaisar Ali Shah Joint Secretary Ministry of Food and Agriculture said after the lifting of European Union (EU) ban on Pakistani seafood exports a huge order was placed by European exporters with Pakistan. He said these plants fulfil the required criterion for exports to Europe as they had already undertaken renovation work aimed at upgrading their factories to meet EU standards.
