Excavations near Ganges in Allahabad

A team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) scientists would begin excavations into a mound on the banks of the Ganges, 45 km from Allahabad.The project, in a village near the Handia tehsil, is likely to demistify the enchanting era of the Kusan period, even much before, according to ASI sources.
