The BJP-led Union Government has done great injustice to the poor farmers in the country by not taking pains to file a petition before the Supreme Court seeking some concessions in its order to evict all the post-1978 forest land encroachment in the country, said former Chief Minister S Bangarappa, MP. In Malnad region of Kerala the poor farmers and the people who lost their houses and property for Sharavati, Varahi and Savehaklu hydro-power projects had been cultivating forest land for their livelihood.
