Experts asked to work for betterment of livestock sector

'Developed countries in the comity of nations are looking for new galaxies in solar system while here a search is going on for water, flour, sometimes electricity and security. Punjab Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khosa averred this while inaugurating the inaugural session of International Livestock and Poultry Congress here on Tuesday. The chief minister speaking about quantum of problems inherited by their government said that its volume was more than that inherited at the very inception of the country. He said they were committed to provide respite to the masses and in this regard earliest possible respite was being worked out. He asked livestock experts to give recommendation for betterment of the sector and said that their government would do utmost in complying on their recommendations. Khosa later talking to journalists dilated that flour crisis in the province had been handled and in this connection he had himself visited a number of 'Sunday Bazaars'. Commenting on doing away of graduation clause by the Supreme Court, he said that now non-graduate politicians would get the opportunity to serve the masses. Copyright Business Recorder, 2008
