JAMMU, Mar 10 - Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has sought the extension of agriculture loan waiver facility, recently announced in the union budget, to the horticulture sector in Jammu & Kashmir. The PDP President spoke to the Union Finance Minister, P Chidambaram and the Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in this regard seeking their intervention in bringing the horticulturists from the State under the ambit of the agriculture loan waiver scheme. She said the agriculture loan waiver scheme would prove beneficial to the State only if it is extended to the horticulture sector. The union ministers have assured the PDP President that the relief given under the agriculture loan waiver scheme would be extended to Jammu & Kashmir.
