A group of farmers, agitated against Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) for non-payment of "adequate compensation' for their land acquired for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project and failure to erect a service road. The farmers launched the protest and dug up a portion of the road.
