Farmers relief fund allocated to Dewas district

The process of allocating relief funds on the proposals by district is going on. In the series, Rs 30 lakh has been immediately allocated to Dewas district for providing relief to farmers, whose crops have been damaged due to frost and cold wave. Apart from allocating funds for relief against rabi crop loss due to cold wave, the state government has also allocated Rs 1 crore 18 lakh to five other districts for providing relief against losses due to other natural calamities. The districts to which relief funds have been allocated by the state government include Tikamgarh (Rs 57 lakh), Katni (Rs 25 lakh), Rewa (Rs 20 lakh), Shivpuri (11 lakh) and Ashok Nagar (Rs 5 lakh). The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Avni Vaish for reviewing conditions arriving out of natural calamities considers applications from collectors for calamity relief fund under National Calamity Contingency Fund (NCCF) and allocate funds accordingly. The affected persons are now getting enhanced relief amounts in the wake of amendment to Madhya Pradesh Revenue Book Circular.
