A contingent of farmers from Doda, Ramban Kishtwar and Poonch districts was flaged off today by the Director of Agriculture, Jammu Vinod Bala Sharma to visit outside the state under 'Technology Mission on Integration Development of Horticulture' As per a press release, the group will also participate in 'Kissan Mela' at Gurdaspur to gain first hand knowledge on improved techniques and better inputs in the neighbouring developed state besides they will also share information with the counterparts on development of vegetables, commercial floriculture, seed production, apiculture and mushroom development. The week long programme is being conducted by the Agriculture Assistant Yogi Raj, Sudesh Chander and extension officers from Poonch district.
