The High Court issued a contempt notice to the MCD Commissioner for the alleged violations of its earlier order banning weddings in farmhouses in the Capital. While staying MCD standing committee's decision to allow functions at farmhouses located along approach roads that are 30 feet or less in width, the court also took serious note of violations of its earlier orders by farmhouse owners. The court, however, granted respite to farmhouses along 60 feet plus wide roads for the duration of this wedding season.
