The mass felling of insect-affected sal trees in Madhya Pradesh was brought to a full halt on Wednesday, following a meeting between Union and state governments to speedily study alternatives.The report should be ready within a month.The Union environment ministry has told the state government, on wheather and how the mass infection by borers can be tackled without chopping these down.
