Alarmed at the erosion of its green cover, the Salt Lake municipality has clamped a ban on the felling of trees. The civic board, which met on Thursday, decided that neither commoner nor councilor would be allowed to fell a tree, whatever the reason. Even trimming of branches has been banned.
