Though developmental works have been taken up under the 'Food for Work' programme on a massive scale all over Andhra Pradesh, its benefits are eluding those living in tribal areas. The tribal welfare department planned to take up roadlaying and electrification works in tribal villages but the rules of the forest department are coming in the way. Permission is not being given on the plea that the works are proposed in "reserved areas".
