With increased power generation driving up energy demand in Asia the business of energy security and inter-country business alliances has been a major inter-governmental talking point in recent months, as both Pakistan and India seek to shore-up their energy supply by engaging the Iranian government on exports of oil and gas to their respective countries. Reflecting the supply challenges currently facing both the regional and global gas market - The 1st Pakistan Natural Gas & LNG Conference and Exhibition (taking place in Lahore during October 21st 22nd 2008) is a mega-event and strongly reflects the strategic importance that the government of Pakistan places on their need to secure major supplies of natural gas & LNG, to one of the world's most populous nations. Organised by the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) and IBC Gulf Conferences and supported by the International Gas Union, the conference and supporting exhibition is set to be attended by over 400 delegates. Organisers are already actively inviting key governmental decision makers from potential supplier nations from the Asian sub-continents Central Asia and the Middle East.-PR
