HC : The Madras High Court today held that 'fish farming' could not be construed as 'agriculture' merely because the basic requirement except tilling of the land was almost similar. In his order, Mr. Justice S. Jagadeesan said merely because the operations and activities to maintain the fish farm was more or less similar to that of agriculture, it did not mean the fish farming had to be treated as agriculture.
