NEW DELHI The National Crisis Management Committee headed by the Cabinet secretary K.M. Chandrashekhar reviewed the flood situation in Bihar on Thursday even as rescue and relief measures continued. As many as 37 Army columns, 13 helicopters, 599 boats, 783 NDRF personnel, 7695 tents, 10 satellite phones, 4 lakh drinking water bottles, 510 water purifying plants have been provided by the Centre so far as assistance to the state government in rescue and relief operations. The department of animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries has informed that 66 rail wagon-loads of dry fodder from Amritsar and Karnal have reached Saharsa in Bihar. Additional 41 wagonloads of fodder are being sent by the Haryana government to Purnia.
