Focus on developing smaller towns

The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has approved a policy to develop residential areas in smaller towns and villages having a population of more than 10,000 and offer plots at reasonable rates, the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said after presiding over a meeting of the HUDA Board here on Thursday. He said that this new scheme would provide basic civic amenities in these areas and check the trend of migration from rural to urban areas.
