THE SRM University, Kattankulathur, in association with the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research organised a one-day national workshop on Environmental Sustainability to mark the World Environment Day Celebrations here on Thursday.. Baldev Raj, director, IGCAR, inaugurated the workshop. Kushawaha of Health Safety and Environment Group, Baba Atomic Research Centre, gave the valedictory address on green and safe nuclear energy . In its attempt to create awareness on environmental issues in rural areas, World Wildlife Federation (WWF) India, Tamil Nadu State Office, organised environment day celebrations at Shri Adhiparasakthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Melmaruvathur.
