Forest area to come up on Yamunas eastern bank

Delhi development minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, announced that a 805- acre forest area would be developed along the eastern bank of river Yamuna near Garhi Mandi village. Till now, 1.44 lakh saplings have been planted in a 152- acre area by the forest department. Chauhan, who visited the area said that till 2003-end, 585 acres of land had been developed by planting 5 lakh saplings.
