Describing the Conservation Acts as "anti-people', the village panchayats and the social activities of the Uttarakhand region have launched a drive to express their resentment against these laws.A meeting of the activists was recently held at Dugada in Pauri district of the State, where participants voiced their resentment against the ban on use of forest resources by local villagers.
