Forest cover depleted

report : Large-scale felling of trees and encroachments have depleted the forest cover in the Jubbal and Kotkhai areas by an alarming 25 per cent over the past 30 years. This has been revealed in a preliminary report prepared by the remote sensing cell of the state government which studied changes in forest cover in the catchment of Pabbar river using satellite data.
