Forest cover increases in Orissa

While India is going through forest degradation due to its heavy industrialisation and expansion of human habitation, the latest Forest Survey of India Report - 2001 claimed that a forest cover of 1805 square kilometre has increased in Orissa. To make its point, the FSI has included mango orchids and jack fruits in the category of forested land.
