The research division of the Forest department has drawn up three major schemes - 'seed orchards, power mills' and 'farm tree to furniture' - for the coming financial year, Dr. G. Kumaravelu, Chief Conservator of Forests (Research),Tamil Nadu, told The Hindu. He said the department would set up orchards to offer quality seeds of 15 important species of genetically superior graft and physically well-grown ones.
