Forest Dept told to shelve Sabarimala action plan

An innovative proposal mooted by the Forest department to preserve the sensitive Sabarimala forests received a serious set back with the Government making a somersault on the issue and directing the officials concerned to shelve the project in the last minute. It was after a relentless legal fight that the Forest Department got back its control over the various forest paths, leading to Sabarimala temple, from the Travancore Devaswom Board recently.
