Sixty-eight neem and kikar trees in Mehrauli have got a new lease of life after the Forest Department withdrew its orders for felling them on Thursday. The Department had earlier permitted a Realtor to clear the land and sell off the land as residential plots. The land is in the vicinity of the Lodhi period heritage building, Sohan Burj. The land comes under the ridge and is part of the reserve forest area.
