Indonesia is losing about 1,00,000 hectares of green cover per year due to ravaging forest fires posing threat to the country's biodiversity, according to the environment minister, Mr. Panangian Siregar. He stated this while opening a workshop on controlling the impact of forest fires on wildlife in Bogor, West Java.
