Lok Ayukta P C Balakrishna Menon and Upa Lok Ayukta T V Ramakrishnan today directed Chief Minister A K Antony, Revenue Minister K M Mani and Forest Minister K Sudhakaran to submit a month on a complaint filed by Friends of Trees, alleging large-scale alienation of forest land, deforestation and encroachment on reserve forest in Kerala. The complaint field by C K Karunakaran, general secretary of Friends of Trees, alleged that 243 acre of forest land from Sandal Reserve - 51, a reserve forest situated in Marayoor Forest Range of Munnar Forest Division, was assigned to certain persons for political and personal gain by the respondents.
