According to an agency report, armed gangsters have taken over half the forest areas of the three districts of Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Panchagarh of Bangladesh, and are now happily going about their business of extracting timber of great value. This is not the first time we have received such reports but that such activities are still going on is of concern for it shows that both the Forest Department and the law-enforcing agencies have been unable to control it.
