Minister of Forests Ch Ayyannapatrudu and senior officials are washing off their hands over the SR Puram Hills quarrying controversy and resorting to blame game. Two days after the Minister, reacting to a report in these columns about the continuing quarrying and denundation of the beautiful SR Puram Hills, in Andhra Pradesh said that he had "clearly told the Visakhapatnam district joint collector two months ago to take steps to prevent quarrying," joint collector M T Krishna Babu said that he did not receive "oral or written instructions from anyone" on the issue.
