Forest Minister K.Sudhakaran told the Assembly that he had requested Chief Minister A.K.Antony to recommend a probe by the CBI into the missing of sandal oil worth Rs 4 crore from Olavakkode and Taliparamba forest offices in Kerala. Sudhakaran said that he was not happy with the progress of the ongoing investigation of the case by the Crime Branch. Replying to a submission moved by Opposition Leader V.S.Achuthanandan on the allegation of corruption in general transfers in the Forest Department, Sudhakaran said the missing of sandal oil from the strong room of the Olavakkode forest station was 'really shocking.'
