DIBRUGARH, Sept 16: The Dibrugarh District Forest Employees Association (DDFEA) has condemned the assault on the forest officials by some miscreants while they were on duty at the Dibru- Sahikhowa National Park on Sept.14. Both president and Secretary Bijay Kumar Dohotia and Sekhawat Ali of DDFEA respectively demanded stern punishment to all those miscreants involved in the crime. The miscreants of Guijan Santipur area had battered the Range Officer, Tinsukia Sushil Kumar Thakuria, Range of Dibru-Saikhowa wild life division,Guijan Tinsukia, Mohim Sonowal, Forester, Tinsukia Forest range, Ajijur Rahman, Forest guard of Dibrugarh forest division and forest guards, Abhay Khatoniar and Tulshi Nath. It was learnt that the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Dibrugarh had lodged a complaint to the police about this effect but on the other hand it is alleged that the DFO of Tinsukia wild life division, Anirudha Dey did not even bother to file any complaint to the police despite forest employees and workers of Tinsukia forest division
