Forest plan may see some changes

A forestry official said that he may change parts of a Clinton-era management plan for 11.5 million acres of Sierra Nevada forest in UK, provoking criticism from environmental groups. In a letter to the head of the Forest Service, Pacific Southwest regional forester Jack Blackwell said the plan that covers 11 national forests will be under a "broad review" for the next 12 months.
