The Public Accounts' Committee (PAC) of the Karnataka State legislature has taken to task the forest department officers for not initiating steps to far to recover land rent dues to the tune of Rs 1.75 crore from the farmers who were allotted 87,000 acres of forest land in 1967, on rental basis.
