The Ministry of Environment and the Delhi Government are loggerheads over the unprovoked transfer of Conservator of Forests H C Dhawan, an Indian Forest Service(IFS) officer. Last month, The Delhi govenment had transferred Mr Dhawan after alleging that he was involved in an illegal construction in the Ridge area.Dismissing the charges as "flimsy" the Environment Ministry has asked the Delhi government to cancel the transfer orders.
